I’m Harry F**king Potter!

Remember the fantastic synthesis when you watched Dark Side of the Rainbow (The Wizard of Oz with the sound turned down and Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon playing at full blast)? It was eerie and creepy and way cool, wasn’t it?

Well now there’s something just as cool circulating the web. It’s called Wizard People, Dear Reader and it’s just as enjoyable. Download the audio files here, find yourself a copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, turn the sound down and crank up your copy of Wizard People.

I watched about 1/4 of it last night until my DVD crashed on me, but I intend to give it a full screening sometime over the three-day weekend. I must say the 25% of the movie I watched had me all chortling, giggling and teary-eyed.

Instant cult classic.

Harry Potter "Not For Kids"

My son, who is nine years old, saw that new Harry Potter Goes To Jail In Uzbekistan movie and said that it was totally cool but it wasn’t good for kids.

Me: Why not?

Him: Well…the Dementors are scary, so kids probably shouldn’t go. Daniel [his brother, who is five] got kinda scared but he’s still a kid. Anyone four and under–this movie isn’t for them.

So there you have it, four-year-olds. If you’re reading this right now, just skip the new Harry Potter film as it will probably scare you.
